Koda and Adapt ensemble in webdesign and strategy

Koda collaborates with Adapt to redesign its web landscape, enhancing the digital experiences for members and customers, and fostering a stronger and a more sustainable music scene.

New client Koda

Working for a stronger and more sustainable music scene

Koda, a non-profit ensuring composers, songwriters and publishers are compensated for public music use, licenses music with entities like radio, TV, and venues to distribute payments to rights holders. Koda’s new strategy: “Koda for a stronger music scene” aims to ensure that Koda adapts and responds to the complex challenges the rapidly changing industry is currently facing, while at the same time contributing to build a stronger and more sustainable music scene.

Part of realizing that strategy is through the development and update of their digital interfaces, future-proofing Koda’s digital presence and allowing them to keep working for their core mission, creating an economically fair music market where composers and songwriters receive fair remuneration from those who listen to and use their music. As they have done for nearly 100 years.

A redesign in tune with member and customer needs

With an ambition to pioneer in digital experiences within their field, Koda is putting the users above all else, with a future webdesign that is grounded in actual documented user needs. For this, they need a digital partner.

Key to the future design is that users need to have better insight and transparency into the economic distribution of payments, a seamless and frictionless self-serviced workflow experience through Koda’s tools and a clear entrance into Koda’s initiatives for a more sustainable music scene.

Adapt demonstrated the right balance between product strategy, conceptualization through design sprints, and execution. We are very excited to get started on this collaboration.

Koda and Adapt in ensemble

We are excited about this webdesign project, firstly because we get the opportunity to design an evidence-based, personalized and accessible mobile-first web experience for Koda, a rights organization with bold vision and ambition.

Secondly, and perhaps most importantly, by enhancing Koda’s digital presence, we get to make a real difference to a cause that’s so highly needed in today’s fragmented, multifaceted music landscape. A cause we’re lucky to have, because it helps ensure a viable future for musicians and composers, in sustaining a music culture every single one of us enjoyably partake in and don’t want to be without.

To us, this is more than just another webdesign project where we get to apply our digital expertise. It’s about supporting composers' rights in Denmark and a music culture that’s deeply rooted in all of us. Koda is such an important presence in that picture, so this collaboration is especially meaningful for us.
