Altacom’s Digital Makeover: Building a Fast, Secure Website for an IT Leader
When your business revolves around IT security, your website needs to reflect that. Altacom, an IT security provider in the Baltic States and Finland, approached us at Adapt Agency in January when they realized their website was no longer safeguarding their brand.
Collaboration with Adapt Agency
Altacom entrusted us to modernize and rebuild their site, aiming for a secure, fast, and user-friendly solution. Throughout the collaboration, their confidence in our technical expertise grew, supported by positive feedback on our team's work. Our experience demonstrates that even simple brochure websites, when done right, can be effective, secure, and meet modern usability standards.
Today, we are proud to announce the official launch of the new Altacom.eu website!

The Challenge
Altacom’s previous website, while functional, needed significant improvements in speed, ease of use, and security. It didn’t fully capture the strength of their brand, and both users and admins encountered difficulties navigating the site. Given these issues, our mission was clear.
We focused on simplifying the website’s navigation to ensure critical information was easily accessible and prominently displayed. Our UX team aimed to transform the complex site structure into a straightforward, well-organized experience, allowing users to quickly find what they needed.
And, did we mention the absence of a brand book? While the brand and guidelines already existed, our UX team created a brand book to ensure a consistent visual identity that reflects the company’s professionalism and focus on security.
The process
- 01
UX/UI Discovery and Planning
We began with a UX/UI discovery phase, developing wireframes and strategies for content architecture and categorization.
- 02
Rebranding and Redesign
Once the Discovery phase laid the groundwork, focusing on a fresh look and intuitive navigation for the site, we moved into the brand book creation and redesign stage.
- 03
Development
Next came the implementation, where we integrated Tina CMS for seamless content management and utilized the Astro.build framework to create a fast static site.
- 04
Hosting
For hosting, we chose Cloudflare Pages, leveraging its global CDN for fast loading times and built-in security features like SSL, edge caching, and DDoS protection to ensure the site is both fast and secure.
How We Made It Happen
To get Altacom where they needed to be, we began by implementing Tina CMS to manage content in a way that was both secure and effortless.
If managing content is like locking and unlocking doors, Tina CMS hands the keys to the client in the form of simple Markdown files. It’s like giving them a foolproof, high-tech keycard system instead of old-fashioned, cumbersome locks—quick, intuitive, and extremely secure. The Git-based Markdown setup also means the website is built on solid, secure foundations, minimizing vulnerabilities.
The key transformation came when we started building the website itself. We turned to Astro.build—a lightweight framework designed for lightning-fast static sites.
Astro is a high-performance, lightweight framework designed for speed and efficiency. By eliminating unnecessary JavaScript and bloat, we ensured that Altacom’s pages load instantly—no more frustrating delays for users or strain on servers. For the tech enthusiasts, we dive deep into the performance benefits of Astro in this related article.
We chose Cloudflare Pages for hosting, leveraging its global CDN to ensure fast loading times worldwide. With automatic SSL, edge caching, and built-in DDoS protection, Cloudflare provides robust security, keeping the site safe from cyber threats.

The Result
What was once a slow site prone to security risks is now a polished, modern showcase for Altacom’s solutions. The new website isn’t just about aesthetics—it’s focused on usability, with every detail designed to guide users toward the information they need most. Products are easier to find, navigation is intuitive, and the design reflects the company’s renewed focus on professionalism and trustworthiness.
And the best part? Thanks to Astro’s static site generation, Tina CMS’s Git-based content management, and Cloudflare’s robust CDN, Altacom’s website is not only faster but also significantly more secure than its WordPress predecessor. This combination minimizes vulnerabilities and safeguards both the site and its users from potential threats. In the world of IT security, this upgrade is as valuable as installing a brand-new firewall.

Looking ahead
While today we celebrate the launch of Altacom’s new website, they are already considering further expansion and new features. Nothing is set in stone yet, but as post-launch support continues, we’re ready to assist Altacom in navigating their next set of ambitions—just as we did throughout this transformation.
