How we tripled Cofoco Catering’s sales

Cofoco has been shaping the Copenhagen food scene since 2004. Now, they’ve started bringing their delicious food into the homes of their hungry clientele. We teamed up with Cofoco to devise and execute a strategy that would improve the customer experience, and extend their reach. 

The Purpose

We teamed up with Cofoco to help improve the customer journey throughout their booking flow and to help them extend their reach, and drive more traffic their way. As their catering service is seasonal, focusing solely on the Christmas and New Year holidays, the window of opportunity is smaller and needed a precise and dedicated effort to handle. We sat down with the Cofoco team and devised a strategy that would boost their reach, improve the customer experience – and in the end triple their sales. We basically couldn’t wait to get started! 


We were delighted that Cofoco chose Adapt to execute this campaign. Utilizing data-driven insights we created an integrated campaign and high performing website that reached all targets set by Cofoco.

The Approach

We went through several stages of research, discovering the potential in launching the campaign early. We created a microsite to gather permissions, and appeal to those already in the process of planning their New Years Eve, and set up complex dialogue flows. From there, we designed communications-flows in different stages, initially to inspire, and later to sell the product. And we took advantage of every platform available to us: Display, Facebook, Google – both SEO and SEM – and personalized email campaigns based on customer behavior.

The solution 

Our strategic collaboration with Cofoco was key to executing the campaign successfully. Working closely with the Cofoco team, we reached the 2017 goal three weeks before the final sales sprint had even begun. Thanks to the early deployment of our strategy we had over 4000 permissions gathered before we hit October, and with the sales-focused communications-flow, combined with the remarketing effort we set up, we tripled Cofoco’s sales outside the normal New Year peak-days, and delivered above and beyond the desired goal. 


We faced a major challenge and a greater commitment to reach a highly ambitious sales target. For the first time, we wanted to do all our marketing digitally, which meant creating a platform and setup that was up to the task. Adapt expertly helped us and we made a marketing setup together, which has far exceeded all our expectations and testifies to an even greater potential for next year's sales!
